LeRoy Heritage Museum is now accepting applications from craft vendors for Barclay Mountain Heritage Day, to be held on August 11, 2018, 10 am to 4 pm at 257 Mill Street in LeRoy, Bradford County, PA. Although event coordinators did not originally intend to accept craft vendors due to space considerations, there has been enough interest from potential vendors to reconsider. The museum will now accept applications until August 4, 2018. No applications will be considered after the deadline. A large crowd is expected for this event so this is a great opportunity.
Craft vendors whose products relate to the Barclay Mountain Heritage Day theme are most likely to be accepted for the event. For example, products made from wood would be accepted because lumbering is an important part of the Barclay Mountain story. Other crafts or handmade goods might relate to coal mining, natural gas, forests, conservation, wildlife, hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, or the history of the mountain. The museum will not accept flea market vendors or commercially made products – all products must be made by the vendor who is selling them.
The vendor application, rules, and a link to pay the vendor fee online can be found at www.leroyheritage.org/craft-vendor-application. The application may be mailed or emailed to LeRoy Heritage Museum to arrive by August 4. The fee may also be mailed. All spaces are outdoors and will be 10’x10’. If more room is needed, additional spaces will need to be reserved. There will be designated areas for craft vendors and all vendors should plan to bring their own tables, chairs, and tents as needed. Electric is not available.
LeRoy Heritage Museum continues to also accept educational exhibits or demonstration tents pertaining to the event theme. There is no cost for setup although these participants are expected to follow the same rules as craft vendors.
The Premier Co-Sponsors of Barclay Mountain Heritage Day are Chief Oil & Gas and Energy Transfer. Oak sponsors are the Bradford County Room Tax Fund and the Bradford County Tourism Promotion Agency. The Walnut Sponsor is Ralph Schoonover. Over 18 other sponsors in the Hemlock and Pine categories will be acknowledged on the day of the event. The final sponsorship deadline for those interested in participating is July 4, 2018. Families, hunting camps, organizations, and businesses can sponsor in memory of someone who was associated with Barclay Mountain. Visit the website for sponsorship information.
