LeRoy Heritage Museum is publishing a new hardcover history of the lumber town of Laquin, written and designed by museum president, Matt Carl. The book will include all new photos and hundreds of pages of new research never before published. Matt has been researching the history of Laquin for almost 31 years and has donated his time to write and design this new book for the benefit of LeRoy Heritage Museum, which houses the largest collection of Laquin artifacts found anywhere. This will be the 10th book project that Matt has worked on. The 360-page book is scheduled to go to press in September and be released by December 2023. The printing costs for this project will be $27,000 and the museum has currently raised $8,000 in sponsorships. We have created a Go Fund Me page to help raise the remaining cost. If we exceed the goal, Matt will add additional pages of content to the book up to 500 pages depending on how much additional funds are raised.
